I was excited to see Deepak Chopra as he is a very creative thinker and it was cool to see how he applies the technology to his fields of study. He talked about how he learned in the 70′s about the brain chemistry. Stress is the number one epidemic in the body. But he is going to talk about opposite today – happiness, peace, love. You can get the “good” brain chemistry by having these emotions.
Now there is a much deeper understanding of human biology and the human brain as an activity. “Your body, your brain and your genes are verbs”. As we have used treatments and reductionist medicine we have solved some things, but need to move to the whole view in order to really solve medicine.

When you use the technology and are able to see the full view you can start affecting it. Need to understand spiritual well being as self-awareness, transcendence, self reflection, conscious choice making, knowing the difference between the perceptual and the actual. Data, information, knowledge and wisdom – wisdom has to become the criteria of our evolution. Wisdom is the choices that help the entire system. We have to start to think this way.
There is an outside self you are “living with” that never shuts up, but behind it is an entity that is creative, loving, caring. Need to be able to pull this view of our spiritual self into our technology. We are human beings, not human doings or human thinkings.
Happiness = S+C+V
S – Set point in the brain (50% of happiness) – do you look at problems as positive or negative (set in first 3 years of life). You can change your set point via self awareness, questioning beliefs, conscious choice making
C – Conditions of living (15%) – economics and status
V – Voluntary (35%) – what you decide to do.
Choices that bring you personal pleasure will bring you temporary happiness. What brings you growth is what brings you real happiness. Creativity, helping others, and building a purpose in your life.
This only has an effect on your present state. Don’t dwell on the pays or the future.
Will look at body and well being as a process, emotions, relationships, sleep, digestion, senses, environment. Lunar, tidal, and cosmic rhythms are affecting humans.

- Your genes are not deterministic (with exceptions) You can change the structure of your brain (Neuropacticity)
- You can change your relationship with time
- Awareness is the key to transformation and reinventing the body
You can prevent or reverse illnesses by your actions and thoughts (like cancer and Alzheimer’s). You cannot multitask as it makes you worse with time. Don’t have an internal dialog that you are running out of time. The infinite part of you transcends space and time.
